NEW YORK, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar decreased in late trading of Wednesday as Britain and the Europe Union reached a draft deal on Brexit.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.51 percent to 96.8025 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).
British Cabinet has decided to back the draft deal, which needs the approval of British parliament.
In late New York trading, the euro increased to 1.1338 dollars from 1.1268 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound increased to 1.3036 dollars from 1.2954 U.S. dollars in the previous session. The Australian dollar was up to 0.7246 dollar from 0.7202 dollar.
The U.S. dollar bought 113.48 Japanese yen, lower than 113.84 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar fell to 1.0046 Swiss francs from 1.0085 Swiss francs, and it decreased to 1.3225 Canadian dollars from 1.3253 Canadian dollars.
