DAMASCUS, March 7 (Xinhua) -- At least five civilians were killed on Thursday by a landmine explosion in Syria's west-central province of Hama, state news agency SANA reported.
The landmine, left by rebels in the area before their defeat, exploded in the town of Taibet Imam in the countryside of Hama, SANA said.
On Tuesday, seven civilians were killed in a similar incident in Aleppo Province in northern Syria.
Bombs left by rebels ahead of their defeat or withdrawal have exploded multiple times in some areas of Syria.
