KAMPALA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Zimbabwe maintained a perfect run in the ongoing Victoria Women's Cricket Tri Series.
The visitors picked their second win on Sunday stopping hosts Uganda by 24 runs. Zimbabwe's Precious Marange was voted the MVP of the match.
Playing in a Twenty 20 format, Zimbabwe batted first to put on 115/6, while Uganda chased to collapse on 91/8.
Ashley Rutendo Ndiraya and Modester Mupachikwa picked 26 and 22 runs respectively for Zimbabwe. Uganda had Evelyn Anyipo pick 26 runs and Immaculate Nakisuyi picked up 22 runs.
After beating Kenya in their opening match on Saturday, Zimbabwe now lead the table with four points, while Uganda who have also beaten Kenya twice have four points and one defeat to Zimbabwe.
In the double round-robin format tournament, Zimbabwe will play their second game against Uganda on Tuesday and later take on Kenya for their second encounter.
The best two teams will play in a final on April 10.
The three teams are using the tournament to prepare ahead of the coveted International Cricket Council Women's World Cup Qualifiers slated to run from May 8-13 in Zimbabwe.
